Member Role
As an Overdose Rescue Trainer you will:

Reach out to community members via emails, phone calls, social media, and in-person outreach efforts

Invite community members to participate in Overdose Rescue training
-
Schedule, organize, and deliver Overdose Rescue Training sessions for the public and private groups, businesses, and organizations
-
Distribute Overdose Rescue Kits containing easy-to-use Narcan overdose-reversing nasal spray
-
Raise awareness about opioid use disorder and harm reduction strategies
-
Track our impact in our service area
-
Work on specialized project team "squads" to create media products, use health data, and help ACT reach its goals

The service term
-
Commit to a part time, six-month term of service consisting of 20 hours per week (450 hours total)

Serve in a hybrid environment of virtual and in-person tasks

Receive a living stipend of $5,400 living stipend (distributed bi-weekly)
-
Earn a Segal Education Award of $1,956.35 upon completion of your service term.

Receive training and an Overdose Rescue Kit containing overdose-reversing nasal spray (Narcan)
-
Receive over 80 hours of extensive professional development and training

Gain valuable skills and real-world experience

Contribute to positive change in your community with a diverse team
